Dyson teamed up with BD Magazine to run a competition looking for a radically different and creative design that is also practical as a washroom facility. Our submission was intended for an environmental visitor centre run by an educational charity, the Sustainable Education Pavilion provides an outdoor facility where activities, such as pond-dipping, can be conducted. Rainwater collected from the roof is used for hand-washing. The waste water passes through three reedbeds, which cleans it before it is returned to the lake. This design of the structure displays this process in a way that is elegant and informative. Read the BD Magazine article. or the Case Study.
